C.I.D. Remote Viewer

Program (Version 1.0)

This is a stand-alone program which must be downloaded and installed on a Client's computer system. This program, the CID Remote Viewer program, allows a Client to review Debtor information that is used internally by Worthington, Moore & Jacobs. This includes all basic available Debtor information provided by the Client as well as additional data gathered in the collection process, specific Collector account notes, as well as payment and charge entries made to any specific account.

  Clients wishing to use this program must make advance arrangements with Worthington, Moore & Jacobs, obtain a FTP address and proper passwords and establish a routine data update schedule which provides updated account information.

 Worthington, Moore & Jacobs will setup a private FTP mailbox for a Client. On a regular, previously agreed upon schedule, a new updated set of data files will be placed into the FTP box. This is a single transmission file which is passworded and contains all relevant Client data files in a compressed format. It must be downloaded by the Client and saved in the CID Remote Viewer directory on the computer system that has the CID Remote Viewer program previously installed. The Remote Viewer program includes a utility function which will decoded and integrate the new data so that it may be properly displayed by the program. This process is repeated each time a new file is available in the corresponding FTP box. As with all programs, updates and/or changes to the CID Remote Viewer will be made available on this website

This program is made available exclusively to Worthington, Moore & Jacobs Clients as a courtesy and is free of charge. Copyrights are protected and you may not copy, distribute, or re-sale this program in any form.

SYSTEM Hardware/Software Requirements

ANY IBM PC/compatible running Windows 95b,98,98se,ME, 2000 or XP, a suitable FTP program (see below if you do not have one) with at least 64MB RAM and at least 10 MB of available Hard Disk Space

NOTE: Hard Disk space requirement may be more or less, depending on the number of Debtors placed for collection and support information. WMJ will be able to provide an approximate total file size when the Client data is generated.

The CID Remote Viewer program is NOT compatible with any Apple OS, Unix, Linux or other non-Microsoft operating systems.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD - You will need to download the CIDRV program file only once, and then again only if there are program updates. But to insure current and accurate data formats and current versions of the program, you will need to check at this site at least once every 6 months or if you are notified of an update by Worthington Moore & Jacobs if a new one is available. The CIDRV.EXE file will be marked with an update date. If in doubt, download it.

To download:

  1. Simply click on the "CID_RV" file name below. Your browser will then open a dialog box which will ask you to "save this program to disk" (save the file to your hard disk).

  2. Click on OK. You will then be asked for the folder where you want to save the file. Save the program on the computer system that you will use to run the Remote Viewer program. You MUST make sure that you remember where on your Hard Disk you saved this file.

  3. Click on OK and the download will start. Note - if you previously downloaded this file to the same folder, you will be asked if you wish to overwrite the current file, click on "OK". When the download is complete you will need to click on the OK in the message box.

  4. Use the Explorer to go to the directory where you saved the file.

  5. Double-click on the file name, CID_RV.EXE for the CID Remote Viewer program.

  6. Follow the prompts. Accept everything. If prompted, enter the appropriate password that you received from WMJ, and the files will extract and install themselves. (Note - For a current password, please call our office)

  7. The installation witll create a CID Remote Viewer program group as well as place an icon on your desktop.

  8. When the installation is complete you are ready to Validate the program and download your first FTP data file.
